Listen to Tunes on the Go with 2020 Jeep® Gladiator Weatherproof Bluetooth® Speaker

There’s a lot — really, a lot — to love about the all-new 2020 Jeep® Gladiator. The long-awaited Jeep® pickup lives up to its pedigree by being the most off-road-friendly midsize pickup on the road.* Beyond even its impressive skills — which include best-in-class towing capacity and payload and legendary Jeep® 4×4 capability — the Gladiator stands as the ultimate off-road truck because of attention to details that matter to you. Details like the available 2020 Jeep® Gladiator Weatherproof Bluetooth® speaker.

This built-in and removable Bluetooth® speaker sits behind the second-row seats of the Gladiator. When you’re driving, it charges wirelessly and can be connected to your smartphone for great in-vehicle sound. But where it really shines is when you get to your destination — be it the trail, lake, mountain, or destination unknown — where you can remove it from the docking station for music wherever your journey takes you.

“This wireless speaker behaves like any other after-market speaker but the difference is it has smart charging so it will always be charged,” Elizabeth Krear, who oversaw the creation of the Jeep® Gladiator, told the FCA blog Objects in the Mirror. “It’s smart in the sense that it only charges when its low.”

Best of all, it’s weatherproof, so it’s as durable and rugged as the Gladiator itself. The speaker features gold compact points that deter rust, and it’s manufacturing to resist dust and water. It can even be submerged in up to three feet of water for 30 minutes. Not that you’d want to do that intentionally, of course.

It’s a big world out there, and you’ve got boundaries to push. Stop into Transwest CDJR and experience the all-new, all-amazing 2020 Jeep® Gladiator.

2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Will Be Most Powerful Ever

When your horsepower needs go beyond what a normal engine can produce, you need an impressive performance machine like the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Dodge says the special widebody model will be the “most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.”

The Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody will use the same engine as other Hellcat models — a supercharged V8 with a knuckle-whitening 707 horsepower. This power is enough for the car to reach 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. It also boasts a top speed of 196 mph.

With this performance, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody can run a 2.1-mile road course 2.1 seconds faster than the outgoing model. Its quarter-mile time clocks in at 10.96 seconds.

When you choose the Widebody Package, which comes standard on the SRT Hellcat and is available on the Charger Scat Pack, it adds integrated fender flares that add 3.5 inches to the overall body width. It also comes equipped with wider 20-inch tires, unique suspension tuning, and Brembo® six-piston front calipers.

The Widebody models will also come standard with electric power steering (EPS) and Drive Modes to help improve road grip. EPS will also make it easier to steer when driving at slow speeds.

To determine the winners of Edmunds’ prestigious best family vehicle awards, Edmunds editors comprehensively test 300 vehicles. The vehicles are scored in over 30 categories – including performance, interior, tech, and value – and the highest-scoring vehicle is named the winner.

According to Weaver, “With reclining rear seats, class-leading legroom, and an exclusive coil-spring rear suspension, the Ram 1500 outclasses many traditional SUVs in comfort and luxury.”

The all-new Ram 1500 is thoughtfully designed. Fiat Chrysler Special Edition Minivans Celebrates 35-Year Anniversary

This year is the year of the minivan for Fiat Chrysler. The Italian-American carmaker is celebrating 35 years of its minivans this year after introducing its first model in late 1983 – and it’s doing so in the best way possible with special edition models of the Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan.

These Fiat Chrysler special edition minivans will look to appeal to families of all shapes and sizes. The Pacifica 35th Anniversary Edition will come available as both a hybrid and a gasoline-powered model with several trim levels. No matter the trim, this model will have chrome badging, a special 35th anniversary badge, an all-black interior with red stiching, and a black grille. You could even get extra equipment like 20-inch wheels and choose from one of ten paint options.

The 35th Anniversary Dodge Caravan will also come with special badging to highlight its special-edition status, while also offering 17-inch wheels and a bright grille. Six paint options are available, along with plenty of additional features that you can choose from.

Fiat Chrysler will begin selling these special edition models this summer. Since it first introduced its minivans, the carmaker has sold more than 14.6 million models – and continues to excel at doing so with a 55% market share in this segment. Could We Get an AWD Chrysler Pacifica?

The Chrysler Pacifica, since entering the market as a minivan, has continued to impress critics and drivers alike. Arguably, it is the industry’s best minivan to date, with an available plug-in hybrid powertrain, luxurious materials, advanced technology, and a spacious interior. So what could make the Pacifica even better?

All-wheel drive, baby.

And according to rumors from the reputable Automotive News, that’s very likely happening. Right now, the market only has one 4×4 minivan available: the otherwise drab and dated Toyota Sienna. An AWD Chrysler Pacifica would push the minivan even further ahead of the competition and make it an even more enticing offer to families deciding between an SUV and a minivan. All-wheel drive is an especially appealing safety feature in northern states and in Canada, where snowy and icy conditions often lead to a decrease in traction. We know all about that out here in Colorado, of course.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has not actually confirmed this news yet, so it is still considered a rumor and nothing more. That means we have very few details—and the ones we do have not been verified. But if Automotive News is to be believed, Chrysler is already hard at work on the AWD version, meaning we may see one here in just a couple years!

Jeep® Gladiator Hercules Model Could Be in the Works

Late in 2018, Jeep® finally revealed the 2020 Gladiator, a ruggedly handsome pickup truck that offers best-in-class capabilities. We here at Transwest Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram didn’t think it could get much better than the Gladiator – until now. Recently, the rumor mill has been turning and it looks like there might be a high-performance version of the Gladiator in the works – and it will be called the Hercules.

Jeep® Gladiator Hercules Model - Limon, CO

Previously, during the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, Mark Allen, Jeep®‘s head of design, mentioned that a high-speed off-road vehicle would be on the brand’s agenda for its future lineup. While the Jeep® Gladiator Hercules model hasn’t officially been signed off just yet, it looks like prototypes of the performance pickup truck are being built for testing.

If the Hercules does come to life, we can only speculate at its power. It will have to offer more power than the Gladiator’s standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which currently puts out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Gladiator Hercules will also probably utilize a variety of Mopar aftermarket parts to give it even more aggressive styling.

Should this vehicle come to market, it will compete with the Ford Ranger Raptor.

While the Hercules is just a rumor at this point, you’ll soon be able to check out the Jeep Gladiator at Transwest Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram.

What to Pack in Your Winter Car Emergency Kit

In Colorado, winter can be brutal. If you plan to drive in any snowy or hazardous weather, make sure to pack a winter car emergency kit, which you can store in your trunk or on your backseat. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • First-aid kit: In the event that you become stranded and injured, you should have a first-aid kit with bandages, scissors, Neosporin, gauze, and protective gloves.
  • Phone charger and power bank: Your cellphone will be crucial if you become stranded. Keep a phone charger and portable power bank in your car so you can charge your phone on the go. Even if you lose service, your phone can double as a flashlight.
  • Provisions: You don’t know how long you might be stranded if your car breaks down in the winter, so pack nonperishable snacks like granola and protein bars, mixed nuts, and crackers. You should also keep a case of bottled water in the car.
  • Coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets: Keeping warm may very well be the key to your survival. Pack some extra coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets in the trunk. Waterproof clothes and blankets are best because they won’t get soaked with melted snow or ice.
  • Tools: Collapsible shovels, Swiss Army knives, jumper cables, and flares are all important elements of a winter car emergency kit.

A winter car emergency kit will help you weather the cold weather, but we at Transwest CDJR hope you won’t need to use it this season.

Get Winter Ready With Jeep

Colder temperatures can cause dangerous road conditions and freezes the cabin so you’re cold when you first jump in the car. To prepare for the oncoming cold, we’ve put together a few reasons why you should get winter ready with Jeep this year.

Utilize all-wheel drive. Jeep is known for its all-wheel-drive capabilities. It’s this rugged drive system that makes the Jeep brand ideal for the winter. All-wheel drive will help you accelerate better and maintain traction on snowy or icy roads, giving more confidence behind the wheel when it’s winter.

Stay warm. There’s no denying that winter weather can be on the cold side, but Jeep has you covered. No matter which model you choose, you will find a trim level that has heated seats, a heated steering wheel, or remote start. That way you won’t have to worry about feeling like you’re sitting on a block of ice and you can pay more attention to the road.

Don’t freeze your engine. Many Jeeps can be equipped with an engine block heater. This will allow your vehicle to start up and warm faster when the temperatures are frigid. It could also potentially help you reduce wear on your engine, reduce emissions, and warm you up faster when you’re waiting for the hot air to come through the vents.

Get a Jeep so you can pay attention to the beauties of winter without freezing in the car’s cabin. You can stay warm and browse our selection of Jeeps at Transwest CDJR.
